Mercator sees flat Indonesian coal import in 2010

Indian shipping firm Mercator Lines through its subsidiary Oorja, is looking to buy 3 million tonnes of Indonesian coal this year or similar to last year?s import, an Indonesian unit official said.

KS Raheja, President Director of PT Oorja Indo KGS told Petromindo.Com on Wednesday that 1 million tonnes of the coal would be sourced from its own mine which is located in Tanah Grogot, Pasir regency in East Kalimantan.

Raheja said the Company is still looking to acquire coal mines in Kalimantan region with mineable reserves of at least 15 million tonnes. (denny)
