MGA Utama opens PQ tender for FSO procurement

PT MGA Utama Energi the operator of Sepanjang and Pagerungan Utara oil, gas block onshore and offshore East Java announced on Monday a prequalification opportunity for companies interested in supplying a Time Charter Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) vessel for its operations.

The vessel must meet specific requirements, including being no older than 20 years, with a minimum capacity of 10,000 to 15,000 DWT and an estimated tank capacity of 70,000 to 100,000 barrels. The vessel should also feature a heating system or boiler for cargo handling, a double hull, and must be flagged in Indonesia.

Interested companies must submit their registration and pre-qualification documents by November 6, 2025. Key documents required for registration include a signed letter of application, a valid SPDA, and proof of experience, including a contract from the past ten years.

The Sepanjang oil field reactivation program was started in mid-2022.  The activities included the re-installation of separator production facilities, maintenance and repair of x-tree wellhead, and repair of pipelines.

MGA Utama holds a 100 percent interest in the Sepanjang and Pagerungan Utara Block, which was acquired on 12 January 2023. The block contains two oil fields, namely Sepanjang Field and Pagerungan Utara Offshore (PUO) Field.
