MHU targets slightly higher 2011 coal production

East Kalimantan coal mining firm PT Multi Harapan Utama (MHU) plans to slightly lower its coal production target from initial target of 3 million tonnes to around 2.2 million tonnes of coal this year, the company?s official told Petromindo.Com.
The official did not give details about the reason of the lower 2011 production plan. The official just said that the current target is achievable; adding that last year, the company?s realized coal production reached 1.9 million tonnes.
MHU was embarking on ambitious plan to quadruple production to 10 million tonnes in 2015 from around 2 million tonnes currently. The production addition will come several new pits including Gitan, Teluk Dalam and Tanjung Lahung.
MHU is a coal contract of work holder operating near Samarinda. (denny)
