Mining consulting Jamieson Group enters RI market

Global business consultancy, Jamieson Group established new office in Jakarta under PT Jamieson Consulting.

The office will be headed by Marty McKowen, the group?s Vice President - Operational Support and Analysis.

Headquarted in Australia, Jamieson Group is a leading global provider of performance improvement and transformation solutions within resource industry including mining sector.

Marty said that Jamieson Group currently provided range of support to a major mining company in Australia.

"We are in conversations with two concession owners in Indonesia and Malaysia to provide the Project Management support to develop and run their mines,? he said on press statement today to Petromindo.com.

Notable highlights for Jamieson Group include a 23% increase in mine output for an open cut mine, a greater than 30% increase in coal production for a contract mining client, and a reduction in gold production costs of 10% for another client.

Previous management roles have been with Leighton Contractors Indonesia and with Barrick Gold Corporation.
