Mining sector not hit by labor protests: Hidayat

Industry Minister MS Hidayat said on Saturday that the recent massive labor protests demanding for salary hike did not hit the mining sector.
"There is no such labor strike demanding for salary hike in mining sector," he told Petromindo.com at the State Palace on Saturday.
Group of labors in several provinces recently staged massive rallies in protest against outsourcing practices and demanded a salary hike.
Hidayat said that the pay-hike demand from workers had been responded by the government.
