Minister: Additional 480 MW enters grid system

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said stated that as per end January 2016, there?s an additional 480 MW of electricity which have entered the country?s power grid system following the operation of four power plants.
Sudirman said the power plants include 110 MW PLTU Kebang Agung coal-fired power plant, 150 MW PLTU Sumsel 5 coal-fired power plant, 100 MW Gorontalo Peaker power plant, and 120 MW Amurang Vessel Marine Power Plant.
He said that the additional 480 MW electricity is part of the previous government?s target to develop a total of 7,000 MW power plants. ?Of the total 7,000 MW, 1,645 MW has entered the system with the additional 480 MW as per end January 2016,? he said.
He added that the 7,000 MW target has been included in the current government?s plan to develop a combined 35,000 MW power plants until 2019.
