Minister dismisses rumor on secretary general replacement

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro has denied that the ministry?s Secretary General Djoko Darmono would be replaced.

?Thus far, I can?t confirm the truth of the rumor. There are too many rumors now,? Purnomo told Petromindo.Com on Wednesday.

Petromindo earlier quoted sources as saying that a governmental decree had been issued to replace Djoko, who was appointed into his current position by former Minister of Mines and Energy Kuntoro Mangkusubroto in 1997. (Godang)
