Minister inaugurates gas distribution network in Jambi

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said over the weekend inaugurated the operation of gas distribution network in South Jambi, Jambi Province, allowing 4,000 households in the region to be able to obtain gas supply.
The ministry said in a statement that the household gas distribution network is jointly operated by PT Pertagas Niaga, a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, and PT JII, a company owned by the Jambi Mayoralty administration.
Gas for the new distribution network is being supplied by JOB Pertamina Talisman-Jambi Merang at a volume of 0.5 mmscfd and price of US$3.37 per mmbtu.
The ministry said that since 2009, gas distribution network has been developed across the country, supplying gas to a combined 89,460 households.
