Minister to issue regulation on fuel aviation distribution

The minister of energy and mineral resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro will issue a decree regarding Aviation Turbin Fuel (avtur) distribution in January next year, a government official said Wednesday.

“BP, Shell, Petronas and PT Raven Sejahtera are ready to be involved in fuel aviation business in Indonesia next year,” director general oil and gas at the ministry Iin Arifin Takhyan said.

Iin said earlier that the regulation on avtur distribution would be implemented in Java, Bali and North Sulawesi region.

Separately, director of processing and marketing at the directorate Erie Soedarmo hoped that state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina would cooperate with the new players. “I hope Pertamina is willing to share their storage facility and distribution network to them (new palyers),” Errie added.
