Minister to meet with top 20 oil, gas contractors

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Ignasius Jonan is scheduled to meet with top 20 oil and gas contractors in the country in Bali on Saturday and Sunday to discuss a number of issues including efforts to increase oil and gas production, efficiency, and minimize unplanned shutdown.

Head of upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas Amien Sunaryadi confirmed the weekend gathering. ?It will be a dialogue between the minister and the top 20 oil and gas contractors,? he said, adding that meeting is organized by SKK Migas.

Head of Public Relations at SKK Migas Taslim Yunus said that the 20 oil and gas contractors included 18 already in production stage, and two still in exploration stage namely Inpex Corp and ENI Spa.

Meanwhile, a sources said that top officials of the oil and gas contractors are required to attend the meeting. He said that President Director of oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, Dwi Sutjipto has confirmed to attend the gathering.
