Minister Wacik asks miners to report export value

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Jero Wacik has called on miners to obey the Bank Indonesia central bank's ruling to regularly report the result of their exports.

The call was made following the finding by Bank Indonesia that exporters of mining products dominated the violation of exportation by not reporting the export result.

"As businessmen,they must be honest to their country. Not reporting the (export result) has many negative purposes, such as to avoid tax," Wacik said.

He also asked the directorate general of coal and mineral resources of the ministry to watch out for exporters violating export rule.
