Ministry appoints Star Energy, Tri Ariesta to carry out preliminary geothermal survey

Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Jero Wacik has appointed PT Star Energy Geothermal and PT Tri Ariesta Dinamika to carry out preliminary survey in two locations to find out their potential geothermal resources.
According to a copy of the decree obtained by Petromindo.com Monday, the appointment was stipulated under Ministerial Regulation No 0459 K/30/MEM/2013 and No.0458 K/30/MEM/2013, respectively.
For Star Energy, the survey is for an area in Hamiding Mountain, North Halmahera and West Halmahera in North Maluku province totaling 158,800 ha.
Tri Ariesta meanwhile is to carry out survey in Pentadio area, Gorontalo province on a total area of 49,240 ha.
Under existing regulations, the appointment to conduct such survey will no longer valid if the appointed parties fail to do necessary preparation for a survey within a month after the appointment.
