Ministry issues permit for joint studies on shale potentials

Directorate General of Oil and Gas IGN Wiratmaja said his office has issued permits for two joint studies on non-conventional or shale oil and gas potentials in West Sumatra.

The joint studies are to be carried in Ombilin and Sijunjung areas of West Sumatra, he said but stopped short of unveiling the companies that will carry out the joint studies.
