Ministry issues specification, price standard for tranmission towers, conductors

The Ministry of Industry has issued Ministerial Regulation No 15/2016 on speficification and price standards for transmission towers and conductors that must be fulfilled by domestic manufacturers.

The ministry said in a statement last week that the standards must be applied in the development of power plant projects launched by the government.

According to the new regulation, specification standard for tranmission towers include type 150 kV, 2x Hawk; 150 kV, 2x Zebra; 275 kV, 2x Zebra; and 500 kV, 2x Zebra. Meanwhile, specification standard for conductors include the PLN standard of SPLN 41-7: 1981 for aluminum conductor steel reinforced (ACSR240/40); SPLN 41-7: 1981 for ACSR 435/55; SPLN T3.001-4:2015 for ACSR 250; SPLN T3.001-4:2015 for ACSR 450; SPLNT T3.001-1:2015 for ACSR with aluminum clad steel (ACSR/AS250); and SPLN T3.001-1:2015 for ACSR/AS 450.

Details on the price standard can be clicked at www.regulasi.kemenperin.go.id. The statement also said that in line with existing regulation, local content requirement for tower transmission and conductor has been set at 40 percent.
