Ministry opens tender for package four of Leuwikeris Dam project

The Ministry of Public Works and People’s Housing has recently opened tender to select contractor for the construction of the fourth package of the Leuwikeris Dam project in Ciamis Regency, West Java Province.
The ministry said in a tender announcement seen Wednesday that the tender of the fourth package project worth Rp 804.38 billion will be concluded in September of this year.
Construction of the Leuwikeris Damn has started since 2016, and is targeted to be entirely completed in 2021. The first package of the project was won by PT PP Tbk in 2016 worth Rp 867 billion. Second package was won by PT Waskita Karya Tbk, and third package by PT Hutama Karya.
As per April of this year, construction progress has reached 49 percent. The Leuwikeris Damn will have capacity to accommodate 81.44 million cubic meters of water, which will become the source of irrigation water for some 11,950-ha agriculture land and also clean water for villages in Banjar, Tasikmalaya, and Ciamis regencies.
