Ministry targets 830,000-870,000 bopd next year

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Jaro Wacik targets the national oil production to reach between 830,000 and 870,000 barrels per day next year.
Jero proposed the target during the work meeting on Wednesday with the House of Representatives? Commission VII which oversees energy affairs to discuss preliminary budget of the ministry as part of the 2015 state budget, the ministry said in a statement obtained on Thursday.
Jero further said the ministry targets the national gas production to reach 1,248 barrels of oil equivalent per day (bopd) next year, while coal output is targeted to reach 421 million tons. Domestic market obligation is targeted at 50 percent for gas, 97 million tons for coal and 6 percent for renewable energy.
He said the national oil target is realistic as the oil output of the Cepu block is targeted to reach its production at 165,000 bpd by April 2015.

He also said electricity ratio is targeted to reach 83.18 percent next year and an additional 2,761 MW power capacity owned by state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) and IPP is targeted to come onstream next year. Also, an additional 474 circuit kilometers of transmission lines, 7,0585.5 circuit km of distribution lines, 870 MVA of mother station and 150.3 MVA of distribution station are expected to be completed next year
Jero proposed the House to allocate Rp 11.36 trillion for the ministry?s budget.
