The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said that bad oil and gas downstream industry players, which have failed to comply with existing regulations and failed to pay financial obligations to the state, could risk their business license revoked.

This was said by the ministry?s Inspector General Mochtar Husein in a statement issued on Friday following a meeting with the downstream oil and gas authority BPH Migas, Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), and industry players.

He said that the inspectorate general has teamed up with KPK in carrying out coordination and supervision of activities in the downstream oil and gas sector.

He also urged BPH Migas to bolster supervision of the industry to make sure that players comply with existing regulations and pay their financial obligation to the state properly.
