Ministry to handover oil, gas data management to Pusdatin

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Ignasius Jonan plans to handover the management of the country?s oil and gas data to the ministry?s Information and Data Center (better knowns as Pusdatin) as part of efforts to improve the quality of the oil and gas data required by investors, according to a source.

The source told Petromindo.com on Wednesday that by transferring the data management to Pusdatin, the government will effectively end the role of PT Patra Nusa Data (PND) in the management of the oil and gas data. PND, which was set up in 1997, is part of the Elnusa Group.

The source at the ministry?s directorate general of oil and gas added that the ministry will also expand the capacity of Pusdatin.
