Ministry to issue roadmap of LNG for shipping industry

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is studying plan to issue a roadmap for utilization of LNG in the shipping industry.
Director General of Oil and Gas IGN Wiratmaja said a study on the roadmap is now in progress, involving state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero) and upstream authority SKK Migas.
Based on the roadmap, the country?s shipping industry is expected to start using LNG as fuel in 2018-2019 and the LNG will be sourced from the Bontang and Tangguh LNG plants, Wiratmaja told Petromindo.com without providing details.
