Ministry welcomes Susilo as Deputy Minister

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at the State Palace on Tuesday officially installed Susilo Siswoutomo as the Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources.

Susilo has been named as the Deputy Minister to replace Rudi Rubiandini, who has been named as the Chairman of SKK Migas the Special Task Force on Oil and Gas Upstream sector set up to replace temporary authority SK Migas and is now waiting for official inauguration.

In a handover ceremony later at the Ministry, Minister Jero is hopeful that his new Deputy can emulate the success of his predecessor in carrying out his duties. "Pak Rudi had accompanied me (as Deputy) for seven months. Just like the late Pak Widjajono (Partowidagdo), he always has plenty of numbers to back up his arguments. I?ve been lucky to have such a great Deputy,? Jero said.

Susilo said he felt honored to be handed the number two post at the Ministry, saying that he would do his utmost to support Minister Jero and his programs, as well as to force an even better relationship with SKK Migas.
