Minor oil leak on CPI?s pipeline in Riau

A minor crude oil leakage has been detected on the Dumai-Duri pipeline in Riau, which is owned by oil producer PT Caltex Pacific Indonesia (CPI), local daily Riau Post reported Saturday.
CPI?s team of technicians has fixed up the pipe leak in the Kayu Kapur village in Riau?s Bukit Kapur district, the paper quoted the company?s spokesperson Jeanny Simanjuntak as saying Friday.
No casualties and environmental damages were reported.
The paper said the crude oil pipeline was found leaking at 3 PM on Thursday, and that it was caused by corrosion.
CPI is Indonesia?s largest oil producer with operation concentrated in Riau. (*)
