Mirach drills another well at Kampung Minyak field

SGX-listed Mirach Energy Limited announced on Thursday the drilling of another new well at the Kampung Minyak Oil Field, known as the KM-604 well.
?The targeted drill depth is 450 meters. This is the second of the batch of three new wells to be drilled in this quarter,? the firm said in a statement filed with the Singapore Stock Exchange.
The first of the batch of three wells drilled was KM-602, which was spudded in November 2013 with its drilling completed on Dec. 6, 2013. Logging data collected at KM-602 shows six layers of oil zone with an aggregate thickness of 39 meters.
To prepare for production, well bore perforations for KM-602 will be done concurrently with KM-604 after the completion of KM-604 drilling and logging analysis, which is expected to be between the end of December 2013 and January 2014, the firm said.
