Mirach Energy to drill four more new infill wells at Kampung Minyak

SGX-listed Mirach Energy announced on Wednesday that it will commence drilling another four new infill wells at Kampung Minyak field in South Sumatra which form part of the nine wells that will be drilled this year, having received the approval from PT Pertamina EP.
The first two wells to be drilled are KM-607 and KM-611.The drilling depth ranges from 450 meters to 500 meters, with production expected from 3 to 5 major oil zones with a total thickness of 18 meters to 36 meters in each well, it said in a filing.
PT Daqing Jaya (a unit of PetroChina group) has been awarded the drilling services contract while PT Henan (a unit of Sinopec) is contracted to provide mud logging. The 450HP drilling rig has been stationed on site ready for the drilling.
Mirach Energy has signed a Joint Operation Agreement for the field, which grants Mirach the rights to conduct development and production activities for the next 15 years.
Under the deal, Mirach is also awarded operatorship of the Kampung Minyak field, an area covering about 45 sq kms.
