Mirach formally takes over operations of Kampung Minyak Field

Singapore-listed firm Mirach Energy Limited said on Monday that operations of Kampung Minyak Field were officially transferred from PT Pertamina EP to the Company at a ceremony held in South Sumatra on 15 July 2011.

The first working team, comprising members of Mirach and Daqing Enterprise International (DQE), has been deployed to the site, it said.

Earlier on 11 July 2011, Mirach announced that the company and Pertamina executed a Joint Operation Agreement for the Kampung Minyak Field.

The JOA accorded Mirach the rights to conduct development and production activities for the next 15 years toward rejuvenating the mature oilfield and boosting production through Enhanced Oil Recovery. In addition, Mirach was awarded operatorship of Kampung Minyak.

As Mirach?s key technical partner for Kampung Minyak, DQE will provide integrated oil field production and engineering services and implement the EOR programme. DQE, a subsidiary of Petro China Daqing Oilfield Co. Limited, is well-known for its proven expertise and track record in executing EOR programmes in China and internationally, the company claimed.
