Mirach produces oil from rejuvenated well KM-601

Singapore-listed Mirach Energy said that it had achieved its first commercial oil production at the infill well KM-601 in Kampung Minyak Oil Field, South Sumatra, Indonesia.
Currently, production rate is stabilized at 72 barrels of oil per day (bopd) after one week of continuous production tests, the company said in a press statement on Tuesday.
It stated that it was achieved after a series of successful perforation implemented in four major sand layers at S7b, S6, S3a and S1 with total sand thickness of 18.8 meters.
The proven production output verified earlier well log indications, and provided more accurate and positive calibrations from geosciences data to production.
Given this result, similar perforations will also be carried out underway for the other two newly drilled infill wells KM-600 and KM-606 with the aim to increase production.
