Mirach?s subsidiary to drill 12 wells this year

Singapore-listed firm Mirach Energy Limited said its subsidiary PT Kampung Minyak Energy will drill 12 wells to the depth of 400-470 meters as part of the efforts to achieve the oil output target of 400 barrels per day (bpd).

Mirach, in a presentation material released on Wednesday, that Kampung Minyak, which operates the Kampung Minyak oil field onshore South Sumatra, will also do workover on 17 old wells and build two new water injection stations.

For 2013, Kampung Minyak will drill five new wells to the depth of 1,000 m, do workover on 17 wells, carry out 3-D seismic survey on 25 sq km area.

Mirach has been granted rights by Petamina to operate the Kampung Minyak field, an area covering about 45 square kilometres. Based on data provided by Pertamina, Kampung Minyak is a mature field and contains about 65 million barrels of Original Oil in Place

Mirach has formally appointed Daqing Enterprise International to provide integrated oil field production and engineering services at Kampung Minyak field. Daqing will implement the EOR programme designed to raise production, including EOR water flooding and injections techniques.
