Mitra Energy abandons Batara Sambu-1 well

Mitra Energy Biliton Pte. Ltd, a unit of privately-owned independent oil and gas exploration firm Mitra Energy Limited, has plugged and abandoned the Batara Sambu-1 well as a dry hole.

?This was the final commitment well in the Biliton PSC, offshore Indonesia, and was drilled by the Jack-up drilling rig Randolph Yost,? Mitra Energy said last week.

Mitra Energy Biliton Pte. Ltd. (Mitra) holds a 47.5 percent operating working interest in the PSC, the remaining interests are held by Geopetrol Biliton Corp. (47.5%) and PT Mitra Energy Development (5%).
