Mitra Energy to start E. Java drilling campaign

Mitra Energy (Indonesia Sibaru) Ltd. will conduct exploration drilling campaign in its Sibaru PSC, offshore East Java.
The company announced on Thursday it would drill one exploration well and expected to start drilling campaign in fourth quarter of this year.
Sibaru, located 129 kilomters north of Kangean Island, is the offshore extension of the greater East Java Basin. The block is awarded by the government in January 2007 and covers an area of 3,999 sq. km.
Mitra Energy, the operator of the block, holds 60% participating interest in the block with the remaining held by Pearl Energy Limited. (denny)
