Mitra Rajasa eyeing oil & gas storage, transportation firm

JSX-listed transportation firm PT Mitra Rajasa Tbk said it planned to issue new shares to raise funds to acquire a company engaged in the area of oil and gas production, oil storage and transportation.
The company’s corporate secretary Teguh Budiaryanto said on Monday in a statement to the JSX that the corporate action was also aimed at strengthening the company’s financial structure.
When contacted by Petromindo.Com, Teguh refused to name the company Mitra is seeking to acquire, only saying it was "a new company which is yet to start operation".
To materialize the plan, Mitra Rajasa will hold a general shareholders’ meeting on September 20, 2007. (denny)
