Mitrabahtera acquires 60% shares of Usama Adhi

Indonesian-listed shipping company PT Mitrabahtera Segara Sejati Tbk (MBSS) has acquired 60 percent shares valued at Rp210 million of PT Usama Adhi Sejahtera (UAS) to strengthen the company?s operation.
?Mitrabahtera acquires 60 percent shares issued by UAS with Rp210 million. The acquisition is aimed at strengthen the company?s financial performance in the future,? Director of Mitrabahtera Dedy happy Hardi as quoted by Investor Daily.
The transaction was made February 1.
Mitrabahtera said that it also planned to add three units of barge this year to strengthen its existing 27 units of barging fleet.
The company, which purchased 27 units of barging fleet last year, has allocated US$14 million of capital expenditure to purchase the additional three units of barge. (*)
