Mitrabara, Brooklyn sign coal supply deal

IDX-listed coal miner PT Mitrabara Adiperdana Tbk said it had on November 19 signed a third coal sale and purchase agreement this year with affiliated firm Brooklyn Enterprise Pte Ltd.
The company said in a statement Monday that under the agreement, it would make two shipments each about 8,000 tons of coal to the buyer, with the first shipment scheduled for November 28-29, and the second in December of this year. The company did not disclose the value of the deal.
Mitrabara operates coal concessions in Malinau Regency, North Kalimantan. The firm aims to boost production to 4 million tons this year from 2.5 million tons last year. The company, part of Baramulti Group, and its subsidiary PT Baradimika Mudasukses has accumulative 43.1 million tons of coal reserves.
