Mitrabara sees flat coal output this year

IDX-listed coal mining company PT Mitrabara Adiperdana Tbk will produce only 4 million tons of coal this year, the same level as last year, amid the lingering downturn in global coal market.

"For coal production target, we plan to produce 4 million tons this year," Mitrabara's Corporate Secretary Chandra Lautan said to Petromimdo.com on Tuesday.

The production level is supported by the company?s coal handling facility at Muara Bengalun port, Malinau Regency, East Kalimantan, which has been operating since October 2015.

Mitrabara will also continue to rely on its traditional export markets among others Taiwan, China and the Philippines.
