Mitrabara signs stevedoring agreement with GSI

IDX-listed coal mining firm PT Mitrabara Adiperdana Tbk and its subsidiary PT Baradinamika Mudasukses has recently appointed affiliated firm PT Global Stevedoring Indonesia (GSI) to carry out loading and unloading of coal in Tarakan, North Kalimantan.
Mitrabara said in a statement Friday that a one-year stevedoring agreement was signed on August 11, under which GSI will unload coal from barges and load them onto mother vessel in Tarakan.
The company said that it deliberated appointed GSI to obtain dedicated service. Both Mitrabara and GSI are majority owned by PT Wahana Sentosa Cemerlang.
Mitrabara operates coal concessions in Malinau Regency, North Kalimantan. The firm aims to boost production to 4 million tons this year from 2.5 million tons last year.
