Mitrabara signs transshipment crane agreement

IDX-listed coal mining company PT Mitrabara Adiperdana Tbk said Friday it has signed a 36-month agreement with affiliated company PT Armada Indonesia Mandiri (AIM) for the latter to supply its floating transshipment crane along with the crew to support the former?s coal operation.
Mitrabara said in a statement that AIM is 90 percent owned by PT Wahana Sentosa Cemerlang, which is also its largest controlling shareholder.
The agreement has been effective since July 1, said Mitrabara, which late in July announced an agreement with affiliated firm PT Global Trans Energy International for the supply of barges and tug boats.
Mitrabara operates coal concessions in Malinau Regency, North Kalimantan. The firm aims to boost production to 4 million tons this year from 2.5 million tons last year.
