Mitrabara starts operation of coal handling facility

IDX-listed coal mining company PT Mitrabara Adiperdana Tbk said its subsidiary PT Baradinamika Mudasukses is set to start this month operation of a coal handling facility, which will help ramp up coal production from 2.5 million tons to 4 million tons per annum.

?Currently, the development progress of coal handling facility is in commissioning stage and is expected to begin operation in October 2015,? Mitrabara?s Corporate Secretary Chandra Lautan said to Petromindo on Thursday.

The coal handling facility, which is located in Muara Bengalun port, Malinau Regency, East Kalimantan, has 750 tons per hour crusher plant, 750 ton per hours stacking conveyor system, 1,500 tons per hour reclaiming conveyor system, 1,500 tons per hour barge loading conveyor system, second 8,000 dead weight tons (dwt) jetty and third 8,000 dwt jetty.
