MME completes exploration at Prabumulih

Coal mining company PT Manambang Muara Enim (MME) has completed exploration at its concession in Prabumulih, South Sumatra.

Operational Director Edi Wibowo told Petromindo.com recently that the results of the exploration show that the 2,000 ha concession has a deposit of about 25 million tons of low rank coal resources with 4200 GAR calorific value

?So far we don?t have plan to exploit the Prabumulih concession soon as we are concentrating our attention on production at our concession in Tanjung Enim,? Edi said adding that the company is targeting to produce one million tons this year from Tanjung Enim.

According to him, the Prabumulih concession will be more suitably exploited for small scale mine mouth power plant with an operational lifetime of at least 25 years
