MME on track to meet coal production target

Coal mining company PT Manambang Muara Enim (PT MME) said it is on track to meet production target from its concession in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra despite lingering market downturn.

Operational Director Edi Wibowo told Petromindo.com on Monday that as of the third quarter of this year, the company had produced around 800,000 tons as against the yearly target of 1 million tons

?There are still two months left before the end of the year. We are optimistic that we will reach more than 1 million tons of output throughout the year in line with our target,? Edi said adding that all the coal was bought by domestic customers such as PT PLN Batubara and others.

Edi said despite the low prices of the commodity, the firm can still get a margin. ?The most important thing is that we can still have a margin, though it is very small,? he said.
