MME producing 80,000 tons in January

Coal mining company, PT Manambang Muara Enim (MME) claimed that its coal production is on track to meet its target in January 2014 despite obstacles caused by the heavy rains.

Edi Wibowo, director of MME told Petromindo.com on Thursday that the company will be producing about 80,000 ton in January 2014 from its concession in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra.

The company expects to produce about 850,000 tons in 2014 due to the bearish coal market.

"In January we are producing about 80,000 tons which is still in line with our target despite the rainy season," he said adding that most of the output is allocated for domestic market.

"There are many demands from overseas, but we prefer to allocate to the domestic market," he said.
