MME surpasses production target in 2014

Coal mining company, PT Manambang Muara Enim (MME), produced 870,000 tons of coal in 2014 higher than the target of 840,000 tons from its concession in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra.

Edi Wibowo, Director MME told Petromindo.com that despite the weak coal price, the company was able to accomplish the target.

?We have set a production target of a 1.2 million tons this year,? Edi said.

The firm will face no obstacles to reach the target, but he warned that despite the production increase, the firm?s profit margin is projected to decrease thanks to the low coal price.
