MNC plans mine mouth power plant in S. Sumatra

Coal mining firm PT MNC Energy and Natural Resources plans to develop a mine mouth power plant project at its coal concession in Banyuasin, South Sumatra Province.

This was revealed by MNC Managing Director Arsal Ismail to Petromindo.com on Monday on the sidelines of Coaltrans conference in Bali, but did not provide further details about the planned project.

He said that the company through subsidiary PT Bhakti Coal Resources holds eight coal mining business permits in Banyuasin. The company also has a coal asset in Kalimantan via PT Nuansacipta Coal Investment.
