Mobil Cepu sets five year drilling programs

Mobil Cepu Limited (MCL), a subsidiary of ExxonMobil Corporation, will drill 42 development wells in Cepu Block, onshore East Java over the next five years beginning third quarter this year, an official at upstream authority BPMIGAS said.

?At present, MCL is conducting tender for the procurement of the rigs required for the drilling program,? Gde told Petromindo.Com.

MCL is the operator of the Cepu Block. MCL and Ampolex (Cepu) Pte Ltd., both subsidiaries of Exxon Mobil Corporation, hold 45 percent interest in the block with Pertamina EP Cepu holding 45 percent and the Cepu Block Cooperation Body (Badan Kerja Sama / BKS of the local provincial and regency administrations ) holding the remaining 10 percent.
