?Tomorrow, the Chairman of SKK Migas, Rudi Rubiandini will oversee drilling for the first development well in Banyu Urip. This is a simultaneous drilling program, where 25-29 wells will be drilled,? Head of Public Relations at SKK Migas, Elan Biantoro told Petromindo.com Monday.

Elan said that drilling will be carried out using rig facility produced by PT Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia (PDSI), a unit of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina.

The drilling program is targeted to be completed within 15-16 months, he said.

Exxon is intensifying development of the Banyu Urip field, considered as a strategic project to help increase the country?s oil production. With estimated reserves of around 450 million barrels of oil, Banyu Urip is seen as the largest unexploited oil field in the country.
