Mobil Cepu to relinquish Alas Dara, Kemuning blocks

Mobil Cepu Limited, working closely with state-owned oil and gas firm Pertamina, has submitted a proposal to upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas to relinquish the Alas Dara and Kemuning blocks to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) for the appointment of the blocks to Pertamina.

?Mobil Cepu Limited will continue to focus its efforts on the Banyu Urip oil project, Cendana and Jambaran-Tiung Biru gas project, and evaluation of the Kedung Keris oil discovery,? said Erwin Maryoto, Vice President for Public and Government Affairs at ExxonMobil Indonesia.

He added that Mobil Cepu Limited, a subsidiary of ExxonMobil Indonesia, will continue to evaluate the exploration and development potential of the remaining Cepu PSC license area.
