More companies secure tin exporters status

The number of approved exporters (ET) of tin added to 16 after PT Bangka Kudai Tin (BKT) secured the license from the Ministry of Trade, Kontan Daily reported on Friday.
Director of Mineral and Industrial Export at the Ministry of Trade Hartojo Agus Tjahyono said in Jakarta on Thursday that BKT had met the requirement to become tin exporter.
?We had issued license for BKP and (application for license from) another company is being processed,? said Hartojo without specifying further.
Indonesia is the largest tin exporter with production concentrates on Bangka and Belitung islands. The largest producer is state owned company PT Timah Tbk. (*)
