More gas deals signed

More gas purchase agreements were signed on Tuesday in Bali, pushing total signing to five during the first day of 2012 Gasex conference and exhibition.

From the five deals, "the state income potentials during the contract period amount to US$192 million,? said R. Priyono, Chairman of upstream authority BPMIGAS.

Among the signatories are PT Pengembangan Investasi Riau with JOB Pertamina-Talisman Jambi Merang which agreed for a 7-year contract starting November.

A deal was also inked by Perusahaan Daerah Nusa Serambi Persada and the JOB Pertamina ? Medco Simenggaris. The deal allows the latter to supply 2.5 to 5 bbtud of gas for 11 years starting 2013.

Earlier today, State owned utility firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) announed it has signed gas purchasing agreements with PT Pertamina EP and PT Medco Energi Internasional.

From Pertamina EP, PLN will buy 20 mmscfd of gas for its gas fired Borang power plant while Medco will provide PLN with 0.5 mmscfd of gas supply from its Bunyu field.
