The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) questioned on Thursday three officials of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) in connection with the graft scandal involving Rudi Rubiandini, the suspended chairman of upstream authority SKK Migas.
The three officials are all staff at MEMR?s Secretary General office, who are identified by sources as Richa Dameria, Dwi Haryo Suseno and Hilman Pribadi.
?They were questioned as witnesses,? KPK spokesman Priharsa Nugraha told the local media.
Besides, sources said, KPK questioned on Thursday Rudi?s driver Asep Toni Permana.
Rudi was caught redhanded accepting bribes amounting to US$400,000 from a Singaporean oil trader, Kernel Oil, in August this year. Several days after his arrest, KPK also raided the office of MEMR?s Secretary General Waryono Karyo and found $200,000 there.
Waryono has been named by KPK a witness in the graft case and has been questioned by the agency several times. Travel ban has been imposed on him.
