More ministry officials will be replaced

Several officials of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources will take new positions in a reshuffle that will be unveiled Friday.

Director General of Oil and Gas Luluk Sumiarso will be replaced by Evita Legowo, now staff expert for technology and human resources at the ministry, while Director General of Mineral, Coal and Geothermal Resources Simon F. Sembiring will be replaced by Bambang Setiawan, now the secretary of the directorate general.

Luluk and Simon will become staff experts at the ministry, according to a source.

"The new officials will be installed on Friday," the source said.

Edi Hermantoro, now the ministry's planning bureau head, will become director of exploration and production. Meanwhile, MS Marpaung, now director of mineral and coal business development, will hand over its position to Bambang Gatot, now Marpaung will become director of technics, replacing Witoro Soelarmo. Witoro will become secretary to the ministry's education and training center.

R. Sukhyar, now staff expert for information and communication, will be installed as head of geology division, while Sukma S Hasibuan will replace Bambang Setiawan as secretary at the Directorate General of Mineral, Coal and Geothermal Resources. (Godang)
