Most East Kalimantan firms fail to report heavy equipments to avoid tax: Official

Most companies operation in East Kalimantan have not reported its heavy equipments to the local office of the transportation ministry to avoid paying the necessary taxes, according to office deputy head Achmad Effendi.

Achmad was quoted by the local Kaltim Post daily as saying that only around 25 percent of the companies have made the report.

He declined to name the companies, but said that his office would announce the names of those who failed to submit the report in the mass media if they continued to violate the ruling.(*)
