Central Kalimantan based integrated coal logistic group PT Mitrada Sinergy stated that it expects to sell up to 2 million tons of coal this year, double from around 1 million tons in 2011.

"We expect to have 50 percent of the quantity produced from our mining units, which we acquired through joint ventures and supply contracts," said MS Coal President Director Newin Nugroho to Petromindo.com in Jakarta, adding that the remaining 50 percent will be purchased from coal producers in Central Kalimantan and South Kalimantan.

Mitrada is known to offer three types of coal dispatched from its Timbau intermediate port in South Barito River, Central Kalimantan, namely 4,200 kcal/kg, 5,000 kcal/kg and 5,500 kcal/kg cv (GAR)coal with each accounted for about 40 percent, 40 percent and 20 percent of the total output quantity, respectively.

The group said to have signed contracts to deliver up to 200,000 tons per month throughout this year, mostly to China and India.
