East Kalimantan coal miner PT Mahakam Sumber Jaya (MSJ), a coal unit of IDX-listed coal mining firm PT Harum Energy, is looking to maintain South Korean power utilities as its biggest customers this year, an industry source told Petromindo.com.

MSJ is expecting to maintain around 40 percent of its total production to be shipped to South Korean power utilities, same with last year?s portion, the source said.

MSJ has two existing long-term buyers that represent the biggest share of MSJ?s total output in 2012, namely Korea Western Power Co., Ltd and Korea Southern Power Co., Ltd. ?Both firms represent around 40 percent of MSJ total production,? the source said.

MSJ is targeting to produce around 10-11 million tons of coal for this year. Last year, MSJ produced 9.5 million tons of coal.
